We’d like to thank you for showing an interest in supporting Hire a Hero.
Our aim is clear – ‘serving those who served us’ – we are committed to providing support for service leavers whenever and wherever possible, and there are many ways in which you can support the efforts of Hire a Hero.
Opportunities exist for you and your business to help Hire a Hero by attending the events held by the charity throughout the year.
It is the charity’s belief that sport transcends all so you’ll find that many of our events have a sporting flavour to them!
Last year, 2013 saw Hire a Hero hold its inaugural golf day at Stoke Park Country Club, Hotel & Spa, one the most iconic estates in golf and cinema.
The charity’s fundraising calender is set to make 2014 a big year for Hire a Hero, offering opportunities for those looking to support our cause.
You can keep up to date with the charities upcoming events, which includes an Evening of Boxing with Dinner in Central London, the Gorillas first match on home sole against the Spitfires, and another two golf days held at the magnificent Stoke Park.
For more information please visit the charity’s Events page, or email email@example.com to register your interest.
In the short time Hire a Hero has been carrying out its work the charity has been lucky enough to be gain the support of fundraisers, many of whom are willing to take on the most extreme of challenges.
Last year saw a group of military personnel and civilians take on Europe’s highest peak, Elbrus – 64-capped Wales second-row Ian Gough among them.
As part of this fundraising effort Hire a Hero saw people sky-dive, great support coming from those posted to British bases in Cyprus.
Hire a Hero has also been lucky enough to see the creation of fundraising arm all of its own, the Gorillas. This rugby-playing fundraising team of individuals have set themselves the monumental task of completing 12 grueling challenges all the space of 12 months – the ’12 in 12′.
The team at Hire a Hero are keen to support potential fundraisers in whatever way possible, and as such we encourage you to contact us before embarking on your challenge. Whatever it may be, we want to hear about it and would be happy to help you set up your fundraising page and link it to the Hire a Hero Official page
We at Hire a Hero has seen a great number of people wanting to be involved and help the transition of service leavers.
Many of those coming forward to volunteer with the charity have done so as a Hire a Hero Career Coach.
At Hire a Hero we train volunteer Career Coaches who work with service leavers and veterans to provide individual support during transition.
This can be a across a number of different areas but the one day training day, along with on-going support from the team, aims to equip potential Career Coaches with all the skills needed to be a confident Career Coach.
For more information on becoming a Hire a Hero Career Coach please contact Jinty Morgan, Military Liaison Officer, firstname.lastname@example.org.
